My Dear Valentine

I'm a sailor, once young
walking along the shore
and remember that I've sung
this pleasant song before.

But as years and years went on
I have to remember this;
then the moonlight all was gone,
a kiss was just a kiss.

So, now I can see
that I've found a jewel here.
you are more than a pearl for me,
take my hand without any fear.

Again, I'm singing this joyful song,
now with a continuous refrain,
as I walk the shore along
and pray that I will in your heart remain.

Walking down the street
I glanced at all those girls.
It was a delight to meet
that glorious string of pearls.
