At the Gate

First verse:

When we meet at the gate
And the night is awaiting
Smiles are everlasting
And your eyes are wells of fortunes

By the creek in the park
At the end of the workweek
Moonbeams light your face
And I know nowhere else to be

Ref:

But here,
Bring me to your secret halls of fame
make the morning hours stall
take detours in our
parting, don’t fade away
keep the gate ajar , you see ( 2nd for me)
at the midnight hour it will lock.

Second verse:

When I stroll in the dark
And the dusk is approaching
Melodies of yesterday
And poems of tomorrow

As I dream through the night
And the streetlights are twinkling
I don’t know my way back home
And  nowhere else to be…
